With a staff of 3 teachers who are all passionate about their subject we can help ensure every student achieves to the best of their ability. The Department is renowned as one of the best in the country and we are proud that our young mathematicians have been crowned champions in the prestigious UK Maths Challenge for two years running and excel in competitions such as the Indian Maths Olympiad.
Our vibrant and dynamic English Department aspires to engender a love for the written and spoken word and fundamentally believes in the power of literature to engage young minds. English is taught in a relaxed, friendly, open-classroom atmosphere based on the foundations of good discipline, high expectations and hard work. The Department provides something for everyone.
Chemistry: Chemistry is very popular at BPS not least because it involves experiments, explosions and weird smells! The Department consists of laboratory assistant and well qualified teachers, all of whom convey their passion for this wonderful subject through intellectually stimulating and engaging courses.
Physics: Here at BPS, Physics is taught by specialists assisted by full time technicians.
We live in an increasingly scientific world and as a department we work together to ensure students develop a knowledge and understanding of Physics that helps inform their judgement on scientific matters affecting society, both nationally and globally.
Biology affects all of us, whether via local or global events or through an understanding of how our own bodies work. Therefore we consider it vital for every boy at BPS School to gain a solid biological background.
